Christmas time is here. I am almost done shopping. Today is our company anti-christmas party. I should be working, but I'm blogging because a certain sister requests it. Our Christmas party is a lunch with no spouses. We like it that way.
Today is my boss's birthday. I've known him for 9 years (holy smokes) and when I met him he was a tender 37. Now the poor bloke is a ripe old 46. I got him a bottle of wine that fit the occasion. I love being crafty AND witty. I may lose my job, but it is SO worth it.
Life is good(ish).

Hface is playing volleyball with her 7th grade team - and loving it. Maya is waiting for volleyball to start over winter break. It seems like we are running around constantly but I'm pretty sure that's just because I'm not very organized. Life could be better...let's make better mistakes tomorrow.

Life is changing as well. I'm finding that Chloe is learning new words every day. Last night I asked her where her bottle was (yes, she's still on the baba, don't judge) and she said "bobble broke" I thought that meant that she lost it...but really what it meant was she bit the top off the nipple and spilled it all over the couch.
Now the couch is broke, too.
She also said "Mommy help" when she wanted me to fasten her into the shopping cart...and our MOST favorite word of the month is "Daniel." Our sweet cousin Stephanie's husband. Chloe gets to see him sometimes when Stephanie is watching her and she can say his name very clear and SO adorable. Now she calls Santa Claus "Daniel" too. We love it.
Chloe has been fairly healthy this flu season. It seems like she's been sick every few weeks on and off since May of this year. I finally stopped worrying that EVERY single cold was going to land her in the hospital. She is a very healthy kid actually. We are so lucky. She is very wheezy almost all the time - so we still do breathing treatments which she HATES. I found that if she's sleeping, it goes a lot better.
Let's make today a good one.
