More LOVE.

Valentine's Day always creates a mess around our house. Let's be honest, what holiday *doesn't* create a mess around my house? We still have Christmas on the dining room table. Now the island has been overtaken by red heart-ness.
We made a Valentine basket for Nie*Nie our sweet cousin-mama for Chloe. She is the sweetest ever. I love her style. Chloe carried the basket up to the door all by her big self. I tried to get Chloe to say "happy day" to NieNie but she was too excited about the basket contents (stickers, mostly). I found it funny that my gift to her was mostly comprised of things that Chloe likes!
Hface made Valentine's for her friends...My favorite was some bath gel in a little heart shaped container...The card she made said "Dear Tayler, You STANKY" - (nice Hface).

We made red velvet cupcakes with little sprinkles for Maya's friends. To my knowledge, no one had tasted the cupcakes so I panicked a little this morning before giving some away. Hface said, "Oh I ate one off the floor from Chloe and it was good." Oh, goody - even the one off the floor tasted good :) I love my girls.
All together yesterday I:
  • Said the alphabet 5 times with Chloe. She can't say all of the letters but tries REALLY hard.
  • Picked up/dropped off/picked up children/dropped off
  • Fixed Hface's hair for her date with daddy (collective aaawwwwh). She is almost 13. We're trying to stop it. Dressed her up SO cute in a skirt and everything.
  • Went to Target twice - once for new tights and then for Valentine's day treats :)
  • Made cupcakes
  • Did 3 loads of laundry
  • Explained to client(s) why/how/when/where. I'm learning how to answer all questions with questions. It works out not-so-well in the end.
  • Downed 3 glasses of airborne and 2 diet mountain dews. I should just mix them.
  • Made valentines for my love(s)
  • Cleaned up aforementioned Valentine mess
  • Started reading new book (so far, so good)
  • Laid down next to oldest and youngest listening to my most favorite conversation ever:

H: Chloe, Does Maya make bubbles in the tub?

C: NO!

H: Does Nana make bubbles in the tub?

C: NO!

H: Does NieNie make bubbles in the tub?
C: NO!

H: Does Mommy make bubbles in the tub?

C: NO!

H: Does DoDo make bubbles in the tub?

C: NO!

(and so on and so forth..... until we all fall asleep)

The end.
