Dear Maya:

Congratulations! You have been selected for membership of the National Junior Honor Society. Your selection was based upon careful consideration of your scholarship, leadership, service and character by our Faculty Council.

Sometimes I wonder where she came from. Maya applied, wrote an essay and did all of the necessary work to be accepted to NJHS. She is a great example (most of the time, let's not get crazy, she's still a pre-teen girl). She takes initiative, is awesome at completing her school work (I never, ever, ever have to ask about homework. Ever.) and she excels at any activity she attempts. She is a terrific girl. One of my most favorite qualities about Maya is that she isn't afraid to laugh at herself...she is the most sensitive of the girls...and she is very honest and is just innately good. I am very proud of her.

Chloe was hanging out with her little buddy the whole time. She kept saying "no baby!" every time he'd get near her, but deep down I think she liked him. Nice kicks baby!
