Easter 2011

Maya, Kelle and Chloe got to decorate eggs this year. H went to see the movie "hop" (and I'm pretty sure she would have rather stayed home to color eggs).

Tye helped mostly (okay, wholly) with the egg-coloring this year as I was making cupcakes for our family pic-nic for Easter day.

Easter morning. Church is at 8:00 a.m., so these smiles are forced.

Roy and Netta came down from Globe to celebrate with us. We all met at a park and hung out for hours. The kids had a lot of fun playing basketball, dodgeball and playing on the playground with Chloe. She's so spoiled - she's the youngest grandchild on the VH side (I think the next oldest being Kyle...who is 12). Netta gave the kids all easter baskets (that she made) and little purses that hold nail polish (that she also made). She can do it all. Since the girls were with their dad for a few days this year for Easter, they got triple the baskets this year (which equals 10x the normal candy allotment for each kid. So.much.candy.)Usually there is one person hiding eggs for 8 kids to hunt for them. This year there were about 10 people hiding eggs for the ONE kid hunting for them :) Remember Last year? She did much better this time and kept them in the basket. Somehow dodgeball turned into chicken - and then dodgeball got pretty aggressive. Netta helping Chloe not be afraid of Rocky. There's something wrong with this picture. The little person is *not* in the clubhouse. And I'm pretty sure she's the only one that really fits in there. Chloe LOVES the park. She wore herself out and fell asleep a few hours into our fun. I took her home to go to the bathroom (OH YES she is 95% potty trained. Still working on it...but we're about 3 weeks in and she's done awesome.)

Easter was so fun this year with the VH family!

(but we missed the Merrills...a whole lot)
