This is my job. I try to find THESE GUYS and get them to pay up. Or we represent them and ask them to pay up. Or we try to get the moms (or dads as the case may be) to settle on an amount far less than what our client actually owes...

Hi, I'm Mandy with blahblahdiddyblah law firm. I understand that
your ex-husband/wife/baby-daddy/baby-mama ditched you and left you and your 3-8 children destitute. But I've got news for you...he/she is now trying to
buy a home and your pesky child support arrears are such a big boo-boo on
his/her credit report that we need it to disappear. So he/she can buy the
big nice home (sans children) with all that money you've missed out on all
these years. Accordingly, he/she is willing to pay you exactly 1/4th of
what you should have been receiving all these years in one-lump-sum
immediatly. Isn't that fantastic?! All these years you've been scraping by
wondering how you'd make your rent payments, how you'd pay those co-pays at the
doctor's office, how you'd give them all lunch money when there was none...and
now you're being paid back. Sort of. Please accept this one time offer as
I would really like Mr./Ms. deadbeat to have that big, childless house they've
committed to purchase.
Too bad they didn't commit to being a responsible parent.
