This week Hface took off to Idaho. We miss her like crazy.Maya and I went to see Phantom of the Opera with aunt Silva and Co. I was not ready for the brilliant costumes, the scary Phantom, and the tiredness that would overwhelm me and cause me to sleep through most of it. Nice. Our seats were pretty high, luckily the chandelier was close.
Halloween was quite uneventful in our home this year. I decided to be Poison Ivy, which turned into more of an Eve from Adam and Eve. I got a cute dress on clearance and some poinsettias from Michaels and sewed them onto the sash. It was so much fun to make, not as much fun to wear. If anyone ever needs a green-swamp-thing costume, please, give me a call. I felt like a woodland fairy. Or just a fairy.
Maya went to a birthday party on Halloween - so we didn't go trick or treating. Chloe has a cold and didn't seem to care that kids were running around outside with bags of candy (nor did she know). I feel a *little* guilty about it, but not really. She didn't miss anything except for maybe more germs from the candy bowls. We did get out a few costumes from the big girls' box of dress up clothes and we found a little sparkly blue dress she wanted to wear.
Maya made a super cute clown costume..... She looked more cute than silly for sure. Hface dressed up like an M&M with her friends, I can't wait to see pictures of that :)

I love your costume!! and I think you definately could pass for ivy... but mostly because of those lovely red locks of yours. and dont feel guilty about halloween for chloe. drew being as logical as he is all the time will probably prohibit trick or treating till our kids can actually walk door to door on their own. :/
