Volleyball champs (and not so much)

That's right...H and the 8th grade girls were undefeated this year! The girls won their championship game against Cortina (remember softball?!) in just two (2) games. H and friends did awesome and improved so much from the beginning of the season to the end. H had NO fear playing front row - spiking anything that came her way. She's not the tallest on the team, but her determination showed through. She's such a great competitor and is SO consistent. Her serves never made me nervous (until the playoff games of course). Maybe mom needs to find a stake league to play on...
CHAMPS!!!

The 7th grade had a very touch and go season. They started off losing a few games which made poor Maya frustrated. They pulled it together though and ended up getting to the play offs and then the Championship game. They played well and ended up losing in 3 games. Maya and friends are great playing together - (Kenna and Juliet). We can't wait until next year - I'm sure they'll win. Maya was an awesome setter - and really got the hang of it mid-year. We're hoping the girls can play club this fall to continue playing (and so I can continue watching).

I love that the girls play sports and that they work hard to be as good as they can be. It's a big commitment for all of us, but always pays off. It's awesome to watch them learn and grow.
