Disneyland!

We woke up early (3 a.m. - yikes) on my birthday (34 - yikes) to take the kids to Disneyland. Chloe went when she was 2, but didn't remember anything about it. She was SO excited. All she said all week was that we are going to disneyland but "not today...later." When it was the day before we left, she could finally say that it was tomorrow. She was thrilled (and we were, too).

When we first got there the big kids went with Tye to go on the fun, fast rides. Chloe and I set out to little kids land. We first tried to go into see Snow White's castle. Two steps in and she started crying saying it was "too scary." So we left. I don't really blame her...it was dark and all we could hear was the wicked witch.

We went across the street to Peter Pans flying adventure ride. Good, right? We waited 20 minutes and as soon as we sat down on the ride it lept into darkness. Chloe freaked out. The ride couldn't end fast enough. We walked over to meet Tye and kids to go on Pirates of the Caribbean. Bad idea. She cried all through that one, too.

We walked around the corner and luckily saw Woody and Jessie. I will add a photo of them later...chloe was so cute and wanted to wait in line to say hi to them. She walked right up to them and hugged Jessie and gave Woody a high-five.

We went on Dumbo's ride and then to Toon town. Chloe really wanted to go on the roller coaster but it looked too freaky to me. I let her decide and she really wanted to go...so we measured her up and she hit the 35 inch minimum requirement. On she went. She LOVED it. At the top of the rollercoaster she screamed "HOLY MACARONI THIS IS AWESOME" which made me laugh the rest of the way down.

We went on it again.

It was then time to go across to California Adventures to see the princesses....thanks to Kimberly (really...thank you, thank you) we reserved a lunch to meet the princesses at Ariel's Grotto. At the bottom of the staircase we saw Ariel....

She loved, loved, loved these princesses. It was awesome.

After lunch she promptly fell asleep.

We stayed until close of the parks. We went on as many rides as possible and the wait times were no more than 20 min for any of them (my favorite part). Chloe loved the mosters Inc. ride on the California side and Flik's wild ride, and bumper cars, spinning ladybugs and caterpillar. It seems like we did so much but there was a lot left to see (but it was closing time and we were all exhausted!)

I think the kids all had fun...I didn't hear a single complaint all day long - even Chloe was on her very best behavior. It was such a great vacation and one of my most favorite birthdays (30th Bday in San Diego with Katie and Karene still ranks no. 1).

We hope to make this an annual trip :) We had a lot of fun together - all 7 of us : )
