April's almost gone.

chunk style.

Chloe had an appointment with the Pulmonologist last week and I am happy to say that we don't have to go back until August. August!! He said she can come off her diuretic...which means one less medication to take. She's down to just her Actigall, Previacid and her puffs. That's it. Dr. Panasar also said she sounded great...no wheezes or crackles. No retractions. No stridor. Her lungs sounded clear. Good job Chloe! If she's doing well until June, we can reduce her puffs to just one puff a day. She weighs almost 13 pounds.... She's starting to grow out of her 0-3 month clothes...which is so strange. I'm not used to her being so big after so long of her being so little.

We see the GI next week... I think she has to continue on Elecare for at least another month or two... but maybe our test results from our last blood tests are back and we can decrease or discontinue her jaundice meds. That would be SO great. All together she is doing really great - except for the reflux - but hopefully she can grow out of that.

It was Kena's birthday last week and we went out for dinner to celebrate. She is getting so old... the big 5. For some reason I always think of Justin's kids as being really little. I guess that was before I had another baby. I can't wait for someone else in our family to have another kid... so that Chloe will seem so big and old Yesterday at Target the lady checker was asking all sorts of questions to everyone who came through her line. Like questions just to talk and make her day go by faster. She reminded me of the SNL skit with the lady who works at Target...anyway, she asked how old Chloe is and I told her 6 months. The lady behind us said Chloe was small for 6 months (no kidding?), so I told them she was a preemie, weighing just under 2 pounds. So the Target checker asks, "So is it easier giving birth to a baby that only weighs 2 pounds?" And I'm thinking - did you just ask if it's easier? I told her it wasn't easier - I had her by C-section and then spent 102 long days in the NICU. So easier? NOPE. I should have said, "Ya, I couldn't even feel it." Geez.

I like this picture of Hayward. She's so cute and the best big sister ever.
