Happy Birthday Hays...

Today was Hayley's 11th birthday. I know....11. I am going to freeze time now so that she doesn't get any older. If only...

We went to Olive Garden for lunch. Hayward, Bayward and Maya gave the waiter one of those really nasty Harry Potter jelly beany things that tasted like either pepper or a plum. He was brave and ate it. I would NEVER eat anything a little kid gave me, especially if they told me there was a chance it would taste like vomit or ear wax. Anyway, he was a good sport and had the group come over and sing the Olive Garden version of happy birthday to Hayley (something like "have a good year and come back next year and spend more money here" to the tune of happy birthday).

We went to Michaels to buy tons of cake stuff to make Hays a lizard cake. I got frustrated after the fondant got sticky and gross, so Bailey took over. She did a really excellent job...she did extraordinary detail on the back of the lizard. It ended up looking more like one of those freaky parade dragons in China town...but still really cool... I don't think it is edible with all that junk on it... I think I'll send it home with Bailey tomorrow!

Hays seemed pretty happy with her birthday presents. She's a Guitar Hero girl, so we got her another guitar so the girls can duel (because they are so not competitive). She got a few other things that Maya's a little jealous of:

We ended the day by going to see Journey to the Center of the Earth -- Hayley loves that Brenden Frasier guy (I just call him the Mummy guy) and the movie was pretty entertaining. The movie was in 3-D so Hays got some glasses that look like very old school Ray Bans. Some how she gets funnier with age...

Happy Birthday Hays...........we love you!

Your girls are absolutely beautiful! How are you? I'm finally learning how to do this blogging thing. I found yours, Velda told me about it. She said that I needed to create a blog several months ago and I'm finally getting around to it! Although, I don't think she even has one!! Your baby is gorgeous! Hope all is well! Love to hear from you.
