Has it been 5 months already?

Time flies when you're trapped in a hospital for 3 months and then can't leave the house for 2...wait, does it fly or does it just pass you by?

Chloe celebrated turning 5 months old yesterday by doing some serious "goo"-ing to the Meiko song "under my bed." I don't know exactly what it is about that song -- probably the fact that I sing it at the top of my lungs (and think I sound really, really great)-- or maybe the chorus has some baby-talk-like lyrics. I don't know for sure, but she loves it.

So...at 5 months we are -- still on all of the meds, we nixxxed one of the breathing treatments (well, it's prn now) and we're just waiting for a call from our home health people to let us know when the overnight oximetry study will be done. Apparently we get to just do this at home (woo-hoo), it will take them a week to get the info to the pulmonologist (why a week? Don't they just need to download the info?) and then the pulmo will let us know if we can discontinue the O2. I hope we don't have to wait until Chloe's next apt. with the pulmo, because that isn't until April 16th. We'd like the ditch the O2 before then. Today we saw the Ped -- she got 3 shots - and screamed like crazy. It used to really scare me to see her cry because I wasn't always sure she could catch her breath. Now I'm pretty sure she can and it will then be followed by another scream. She interacted with the Ped a lot today and he is happy with her progress. He loves her color and guessed her bili to be a 2.5 (which is right on. Way to go doc). She weighs 9.5 ounces!!!! She will continue on the elecare until the formula companies can develop a more expensive formula, at which time Chloe will promptly be switched to that formula (or so it seems).
Maybe by 6 months she will be O2 free! No more tubes! I really want to put one of those dumb-huge bows on her head and adorn her with little baby-bracelets, but we've waited so long to have her free of tubes, wires, etc. I hate to tie junk on her. Maybe when she hits a year I'll put a big flower on her head. Just because we can.

I love these pictures. Chloe is getting so big, and it was great to finally get to hold her. I hope that you guys are doing good. I can't believe that she is 9.5 pounds now.
