Movie and swimming

On Friday, June 13th, Chloe had two firsts -- a movie and swimming.

We love the movies, so it has been especially hard not to go for the past 8 months. We decided that Chloe is big enough to be in such a large crowd, so with sanitizer in tow, we went to see Kung Fu Panda. At first she was a little scared by the darkness and the loudness of it...but then she watched a little of the movie and fell asleep.

That night the pool was extra warm, so I took her swimming. It was more like a "dip" in the pool for about 15 minutes. She just stared at the water the entire time just trying to figure out what it was. She splashes like CRAZY in her bath, so I thought she would eventually catch on and splash in the pool, but she didn't. She wasn't upset, though, so that was a good thing. No one else was home, so I don't have any pictures of her first swimming experience. Next time we'll get photos.

We went to the Ped today to see if she was having issues with her right ear. She keeps grabbing and pulling at it like it hurts. Everything else is normal -- she still loves to eat, her sleeping is still great, she's not acting super angry, except for when she rolls onto her tummy and can't remember how to roll back over, or when she hits herself in the head with a toy (this on happens ALOT)... the nurse prac said she is fine. She doesn't have a fever, hear ear isn't red, etc. I'm thinking she has some sort of allergy that makes her ear itchy...she seems to scratch her eyes alot, too, and they get sort of puffy. Anyway, the point of all of this is that they weighed her (clothes and diaper on) and she is at 15.7 pounds! Holy break the scales batman! The nurse was surprised that this was the same tiny Chloe....she's getting so big.

(Is that an x-rated swimming baby pic? That may be a twig and berries, but I can't quite tell)
