I should be doing something else, but I am the world's best procrastinator. Just ask my boss. I'm sure that "procrastination" and "best" are seldom used in the same sentence. I *should* be doing a lot of things, but I've been doing a lot of things lately and they aren't making me very happy. But enough about that. On with the show.
Chloe's 2nd birthday took place in California - impromptu trip that I will be forever glad we took. She didn't seem to care too much that it was her birthday, and we celebrated it with a couple of cupcakes thrown together, but she enjoyed it and we enjoyed her.
For those of you who get to hang out with Chloe from time to time, you know she has a serious love/hate relationship with bugs. She used to just say "BUUUUU" but this past week she learned how to put the "G" sound on the end. Not bad. "BUG" is what we're hearing a lot of these days, especially since it's halloween season and everyone decorates with spiders. It is the cutest thing when she squats down and points at a bug (and then smashes it).

She has now also completed her word for "Dad" - previously known simply as "Da" - she put a "D" sound on the end of that, too, so now he is actually a "dad." She is VERY excited to see dad, go to dad's house, and do anything with dad. Today when dropping her off Dad acted like she was going "bye-bye" with me and she turned around instantly and sat down - basically making a statement that she was staying. Dad followed up that with "I was just making a point." Point taken. Dad is fun and she loves him. Moving on...

As you can see from the photos, she still has hair (take that Patel). She is a dancing MACHINE and can't help but groove when there is a beat ANYWHERE. She is a tiny dancer. She loves to mimic all faces we make and animal sounds. She has words for "outside" "airplane" and "bottle" but I'm pretty sure we're the only ones who know what she's saying. She still doesn't say "No" but I really actually like that. She waves her finger in an "it wasn't really so, but it seemed to be...popcorn popping on the apricot tree" sort of way. So cute.

Birthday.

1st Birthday

2nd Birthday

She's now a feisty little 2 year old. She's always been feisty - but now she's a big old 2. Happy birthday baby Chloe :)

Happy birthday BIG GIRL CHLOE!! Can you believe we made it this far?!
Happy Birthday amazing little girl!!! And happy 2 years to you too Mandy...what a journey you've been on. By the way, that last picture is priceless :)
Nicole, I CAN'T believe it's been 2 years...I still get emotional around her birthday time - Luckily I'm the one with the memories, not Chloe! I know I always say it but we NEED to get together. I've been watching Kyler's progress, but I want to SEE it!
Rachel, Thanks for the note :) You guys are the best. I'm pretty sure my girls want to adopt you and Clay as their parents.
Seriously, dude. We need to get together. I haven't seen Chloe (or you) in over a year and that's pretty pathetic.
Hope her day was super! Sophia burned her hand and Spencer ate all the cake.
Good times. Miss you!
Happy belated birthday to Chloe. It looks like she had a nice one.
