Chloe must be pushing about 14 pounds by now. All of a sudden (well, and 7 months later) she appears to have put on a good 5 pounds or so. I just can't believe how big she is.
And...cranky. Along with extra pounds comes extra crankiness apparently (I know I'm always a little upset when I can't fit into my jeans). For about 3 days now she has been really not herself. Her cries are still not really cries, more like yells. She will pause to see if we are paying attention and then yell some more. When she's REALLY upset, she frowns. It's possibly the saddest thing I've ever seen. She's not digging strangers lately - or strange places. She knows where she is and who is around her. If she doesn't know you, she'll let you know it for sure. I don't know if any of this has to do with her hospital stay -- I don't think it does. It seems more like she's unsure of the outside because I kept her in for so long.
She is seeming more healthy and normal-babyish every day. She will be 7 months next week which is the strangest thought ever. I can't believe it's been 7 months since she came into our lives. I think she has now been home longer than she was in the NICU....what a milestone...
